The prefecture of Preveza, located in the heart of Epirus, borders with the prefectures of Thesprotia and Ioannina (on the northern part) and the prefecture of Arta (on the eastern part).

The Venetian castles, the churches of Agios Nikolaos and Agios ioannis, the temple of the church o Agios Haralambos, the hagiographies of the church of Agios Athanassios, the Venetian clock and Nikopolis, at the town of Preveza.
The ruins of the ancient town and the Byzantine church at Thesprotiko.
The female monastery of Agios Dimitrios and the ancient town of Kassopi, at Kamarina.
The female monastery of Agia Pelagia, at Kastrosykia.
The Nekropolis at the Aherousia lake, at Mesopotamo.
The medieval part of the town, the old churches of Agioi Apostoli and Agia Eleni and the monastery of Panagia Vlahernon, at Parga.

The cultural events Nikopolia at the ancient theater, the Balkan festival of folkloric dances and the festival of the sardine on august, at the town of Preveza.
The bazaar on September the 8th at Thesprotiko.
The reenactment of the dance of Zalogos, on October at Kamarina.
The festival Kanaria, which is the reenactment of the setting on fire the Turkish flagship by Kanaris and on Thursday after Easter, the celebration at the square of Filippiada.

Preveza
The town of Preveza, the capital of the prefecture, is a picturesque settlement with insular features of unique beauty. At the seafront, the appearance of the town is very modern, while in the heart of the settlement the narrow scenic alleys, the old houses and the ruined mosques give a traditional tint to the beautiful town.

Parga
Parga, an attractive tourist resort, is a scenic insular hamlet full of natural beauties, crystal waters, verdant forests and a bland climate as well as romantic streets with traditional houses built amphitheatrically on a rock.

Kamarina
Kamarina is a historical mountainous village where you can see the famous monument that portrays the dance of Zalogos.

Filippiada
Filippiada is a hamlet that pulses with orange crofts.

Mesopotamo
Mesopotamo is a village that is located between the arms of the river Aherondas.

TRANSPORTATION:
BY AIRPLANE:
From the airport Eleftherios Venizelos at Spata, there are flights to the town of Aktio all through the year. The duration of the flight is 1 hour. The airport of Preveza is located at a distance of 7 km from the capital.

BY BUS:
From Athens and Thessalonica to the towns of Preveza, Parga Thesprotiko and Filippiada there are bus itineraries all through the year. The distance from Athens is 426 km (via Rio Antirio) and from Thessalonica is 440 km (via Ioannina, Trikala and Larissa). Preveza are also connected with Ioannina, Igoumenitsa, Arta, Agrinio.
