MAJOR TOWNS / CITIES / VILLAGES
Hora
Hora is a very traditional town, built around the monastery with a technique of exceptional aesthetics and nobility. The town comprises of several settlements that are full of whitewashed houses, mazy stone paved alleys, small squares and steps.

Grikos
Grikos is a coastal tourist resort located in the heart of a verdant plain. The calm bay, the sandy beach with the marram grass, the scenic islet Tragonissi in the front of the bay and the two small peninsulas on the sides, compose a very interesting icon.

Kambos
The village of Kambos is divided in the upper Kambos, which is a mountainous scenic settlement with new and old houses and the church of Evagelismos prevailing, and the lower Kambos, which is a small coastal settlement with lush verdure.

Skala
The beautiful village of Skala is the main port of the island and therefore it is the most populated region of the island of Patmos.

All around the island of Patmos you can find the islet of Agathonissi and the insular cluster Arkioi. These islets are the ideal places for peaceful and serene vacations due to the fact that they are not much frequented and they are full of unique natural beauties.
TRANSPORTATION:
BY FERRY:
From Piraeus to the port of Skala at the island of Patmos, there are frequent timetables on summer, while in winter the itineraries are more rare. The duration of the journey is 10 hours. Patmos is also connected with the Cyclades islands, the eastern Aegean islands and the other Dodekanese islands.
