The monument with the head of Homer, the church of Agia Irini and Agios Georgios, at the village of Ormos.
The ruins of the ancient sanctuary, the tower of the Hellenistic era, the ruins of the ancient mains and the ruins of the Medieval castle, at the village of Psathi.

Ios or Hora
At the picturesque town of Hora, traditional whitewashed houses, blue domes and high campaniles, scattered all over the hill, embellish the beautiful landscape, while the on top, the little church of Agios Nikolaos and the ruins of the Medieval castle, dominate in majesty.
Magganari
Magganari is one of the most attractive settlements of the island of Ios, which pulses with sandy coasts and scenic harbors. At this superb site, part of the famous motion picture "Big Blue" was shot.
Milopotas
Milopotas is a tourist settlement, adorned with an infinite sandy coast.
Ormos or Limani (port)
The natural well protected port of the island of Ios, resembles a beautiful lake and the inhabitants call it "Gialos".
Psathi
A tourist resort with magnificent pebble beaches.

BY FERRY:
From Piraeus to the island of Ios, there are frequent timetables on summer, while in winter the itineraries are more rare. The duration of the journey is 9 hours. Furthermore, there are several itineraries from Rafina to the island of Naxos with speedboats. Naxos is also connected with Crete, the Cyclades islands and the Dodekanissa islands.
