The prefecture of Attica borders with the prefecture of Viotia on the north and northwestern part as well as with the prefecture of Corinth on the western part.

At the town of Piraeus, there are five municipal departments that have athletic grounds for all the Olympic games (Department of Athletics: +30 (210) 4135271). Additionally, at the town of Piraeus you will find the Hellenic Nautical Club (+30 (210) 4179730) and the Hellenic Rowing Federation (+30 (210) 4118011). If you have a boat you can wharf at the organized marina of Zea (+30 (210) 4511480), or at the port of Mikrolimano (+30 (210) 4110287).

At eastern Attica, if you have a boat, you can wharf at Lavrio or Oropos.

At western Attica, if you have a boat, you can wharf at Porto Germeno.

At northern Attica, if you are a fan of mountain hiking, at the mountain Kitheronas, at the region Petalo, you will find the shelter Tsakos Vaggelis, while at the mountain Parnitha, at the region Bafi you will find the shelter Bafi and at the region Flabouri you will find the shelter Flabouri. At Parnitha you will also find the famous casino.

At southern Attica, if you have a boat, you can wharf at the marinas of Alimos, Vouliagmeni, Glyfada and Flisvos. Moreover, if you are a fan of water sports, you can find several at the organized beaches and at the major hotel units.

MAJOR TOWNS / CITIES / VILLAGES
Athens
Athens is the capital of the prefecture of Attica and of course the capital of Greece. At the cosmopolitan and nodal town of Athens, you will be able to find everything that you may need. In general, the town of Athens, despite the fact that it is not an ideal resort for vacations, however it is gifted with innumerable archaeological sites as well as picturesque quarters with traditional shops and taverns, multiple shopping centers, scenic bazaars and magnificent verdurous spots that shall definitely amaze you.

Piraeus
Piraeus, built on the peninsula of Piraeus, is the main port of the prefecture, the second largest town of Attica and another major center.

Kifissia
Kifissia, located at northern Attica, is one of the most renowned suburbs of the prefecture due to the fact that it is a very verdant and cool region full of luxurious villas and major shopping centers.

Anavissos
Anavissos is one of the most frequented coastal tourist resorts of southern Attica full of large hotel units, fish taverns and mansions.

Kineta
Kineta is a renowned tourist resort, located at western Attica, which pulses with beautiful houses and pine-clad spots.

Rafina

From the port of Piraeus, the Zea marina and the coasts Possidonos, Tzelepi and Miaouli, there are boat itineraries to almost all the ports of continental Greece as well as the whole insular Greece. At eastern Attica there are also the ports of Rafina, Lavrio, Agia Marina and Oropos that also have boat itineraries for close distance journeys. Furthermore, there are several speedboat itineraries.
